Removal
Left side cover
Identify the left side cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screw that secures the left side cover release latch to the chassis.
Pull the left side cover release latch to release the left side cover away from the chassis.
Remove the left side cover from the chassis.
Front cover
Position the system as shown.
Identify the front cover highlighted in blue.
Gently pry and release the front cover tabs from the top, working right sequentially to the left tab.
Rotate the front cover outwards, away from the chassis and remove the cover.
Position the system as shown.
Heat sink assembly
Position the system as shown.
Identify the processor fan and heat sink assembly highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the radiator fan and the processor fan pump cables from the system board.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the heat sink to the system board. Loosen in order.
Remove the screw that secures the radiator fan to the chassis.
Slide the radiator fan from the chassis.
Lift the processor fan and heat sink assembly from the system board.
Use the alcohol pad to clean the heatsink (as shown in the video).
Processor
Identify the processor highlighted in blue.
Press down and push the release lever away from the processor to release it from the securing tab.
Lift the lever upward to lift the processor cover.
Remove the processor from the processor socket.
Install
Processor
Identify the processor location highlighted in blue.
Ensure that the release lever on the processor socket is fully extended in the open position.
Align the notches on the processor with the tabs on the socket and place it on the socket.
The processor is in place, lower the release lever and secure it under the tab on the processor cover.
Heat sink assembly
Identify the processor fan and heat sink assembly location highlighted in blue.
Apply a pea sized amount of thermal material as shown.
Place the heat sink on the system board and align with the screw holes.
Place the radiator fan on the chassis and align with screw holes.
Install the screw that secures the radiator fan to the chassis.
Tighten the captive screws that secure the heat sink to the system board. Tighten in reverse order. Do not over tighten.
Connect the radiator fan and the processor fan pump cables to the system board.
Position the system as shown.
Front cover
Position the system as shown.
Identify the front cover location highlighted in blue.
Insert the bottom side front cover tabs into the corresponding slots on the chassis.
Push the top side of the front cover towards the chassis snapping the slots into position.
Position the system as shown.
Left side cover
Identify the left side cover location highlighted in blue.
Slide the bottom edge of the left side cover into the chassis.
Push the left side cover into place.
Tighten the captive screw that secures the left side cover release latch to the chassis.
