Removal
Power supply unit
Identify the power supply unit highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the power cable from the power source and from the PSU you intend to remove, and then remove the cable from the strap on the PSU handle.
Press the release latch, and holding the PSU handle slide the PSU out of the PSU bay.
System Cover
Identify the system cover highlighted in blue.
Using a 1/4 inch flat head or a phillips #2 screwdriver rotate the lock counterclockwise to the unlock position.
Lift the release latch until the system cover slides back.
Lift the cover from the system.
Optional internal USB card
Identify the optional internal USB card highlighted in blue.
Holding the blue tag, lift the internal USB card to disconnect from the connector on the system board.
Remove the USB memory key from the internal USB card.
Air Shroud
Identify the air shroud highlighted in blue.
Hold the edges of the air shroud, and lift the air shroud out of the system.
Cooling fans
Select the cooling fan you want to replace.
Holding the orange touch points, lift the fan out of the system.
System Memory
Select the memory module you want to replace.
To release the memory module from the socket, press the ejectors on both ends of the memory module socket simultaneously to fully open.
Lift the memory module away from the system.
Processor and heat sink module
Select the processor and heat sink module you want to replace.
Using a torx T30 screwdriver, loosen the first nut two diagonal turns.
Using a torx T30 screwdriver, loosen the screw diagonally opposite to the nut you loosened first.
Set the anti tilt wires to the unlocked position (inward position).
Lift the processor and heat sink module (PHM) from the system and set the PHM aside with the processor side facing up.
Use the alcohol pad to clean the heatsink (as shown in the video).
Riser - 2A
Identify the riser highlighted in blue.
Press the blue button on the riser, and holding the touch points lift the expansion card riser from the riser connector on the system board.
Optional OCP card
Identify the optional OCP card highlighted in blue.
Open the blue latch to unlock the OCP card.
Push the OCP card towards the rear end of the system to disconnect from the connector on the system board.
Close the OCP card blue latch on the system board.
Riser - 3A
Identify the riser highlighted in blue.
Press the blue button on the riser, and lift the expansion card riser from the riser connector on the system board.
System Board Assembly
Identify the system board assembly highlighted in blue.
Using the system board holder and plunger, slide the system board assembly towards the front of the system.
Lift the system board assembly out of the chassis.
Rear I/O board
Position the system board assembly on a flat surface as shown.
Identify the rear I/O board highlighted in blue.
Using a phillips # 2 screwdriver, remove the screws that secure the rear I/O board.
Holding the edges, pull the rear I/O board to disconnect from the connector on the system board.
Install
Rear I/O board
Position the system board assembly on a flat surface as shown.
Identify the rear I/O board location highlighted in blue.
Align the connectors and slots on the rear I/O board on the system board.
Press the rear I/O board until firmly seated on the system board connector.
Using a phillips #2 screwdriver, install the screws that secure the rear I/O board to the system board.
System Board Assembly
Identify the system board assembly location highlighted in blue.
Holding the system board holder and plunger, lower the system board assembly into the system.
Slide the system board assembly towards the rear of the chassis until the connectors are firmly seated in the slots.
Riser - 3A
Identify the riser location highlighted in blue.
Holding the edges or the touch points, align the holes on the expansion card riser with the guides on the system board.
Lower the expansion card riser into place and press the touch points until the expansion card riser connector is fully seated on the system board connector.
Optional OCP card
Identify the optional OCP card location highlighted in blue.
Open the blue latch on the system board.
Slide the OCP card into the slot in the system.
Close the latch to lock the OCP card to the system.
Riser - 2A
Identify the riser location highlighted in blue.
Holding the edges or the touch points, align the holes on the expansion card riser with the guides on the system board.
Lower the expansion card riser into place and press the touch points until the expansion card riser connector is fully seated on the system board connector.
Processor and heat sink module
Confirm the processor and heat sink module you want to replace.
Apply a pea sized amount of thermal material as shown.
Set the anti tilt wires to the unlocked position on the heat sink (inward position).
Align the pin 1 indicator of the heat sink to the system board, and then place the processor and heat sink on the processor socket.
Set the anti tilt wires to the locked position (outward position).
Using the torx T30 screwdriver, tighten the first two diagonal turns.
Using the torx T30 screwdriver, tighten the screw diagonally opposite to the nut you tightened first.
System Memory
Locate the appropriate memory module socket.
Align the edge connector of the memory module with the alignment key of the memory module socket.
Press the memory module with your thumbs until the ejectors firmly clicks into place.
Cooling fans
Identify the cooling fan location highlighted in blue.
Align and place the fan module connector horizontally with the connector on the system board.
Press the orange touch point on the cooling fan module until firmly connected.
Air Shroud
Identify the air shroud location highlighted in blue.
Holding the edges of the air shroud, align the tabs on the air shroud with the slots on the system.
Lower the air shroud into the system until it is firmly seated.
Optional internal USB card
Identify the optional internal USB card location highlighted in blue.
Connect the USB key to the internal USB card.
Align the internal USB card with the connector on the system board and press firmly until the internal USB card is seated.
System Cover
Identify the system cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the tabs on the system cover with the guide slots on the system and slide the system cover.
Close the system cover release latch.
Using a 1/4 inch flat head or phillips #2 screwdriver, rotate the lock clockwise to the lock position.
Power supply unit
Identify the power supply unit location highlighted in blue.
Slide the PSU into the PSU bay until the release latch snaps into place.
Connect the power cable to the PSU, and plug the cable into a power outlet.
