Removal
System Cover
Identify the system cover highlighted in blue.
Using a flat head or a Phillips screwdriver, rotate the lock counter clockwise.
Lift the latch till the system cover slides back.
Hold the cover on both sides, and lift the cover away from the system.
Cooling fan assembly
Identify the cooling fan highlighted in blue.
Open the cable retention plastic clip and unroute the backplane cable.
Disconnect the cooling fan cable connected to the system board connector.
Unroute the Cooling fan cable
Lift the fan out holding the blue touch point.
Intrusion switch
Identify the intrusion switch module highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the intrusion switch cable connected to the system board.
Using a plastic scribe, slide the intrusion switch out of the intrusion switch slot.
Install
Intrusion switch
Identify the intrusion switch module highlighted in blue.
Align the tabs on the intrusion switch with the slots and push until it secures into place.
Connect the intrusion switch cable to the connector on the system board.
Cooling fan assembly
Identify the cooling fan location highlighted in blue.
Lower the cooling fan into the cage until it is seated firmly.
Route the cooling fan cable.
Press the release tabs on the fan cable connector and connect the cable to the system board.
Route the backplane cable and close the cable retention plastic clip.
System Cover
Identify the system cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the tabs on the system cover with the guide slots on the system.
Push the system cover latch down.
Using a flat head or Phillips screwdriver, rotate the lock clockwise.
