Your Dell printer is uniquely identified by its Service Tag and Express Service Code.
This information can be used to:
Service Tags are seven-digit alphanumeric strings, for example, A1B2C31.
Express Service Codes are thirteen-digit numerical strings, for example, 1234567890123.

Your Dell printer has a sticker in the toner bay giving both the service tag and express service code. There is a second sticker on the back of the printer giving the service tag only.

Some laser printers have the service tag label inside the toner compartment (Figure 3).

Some laser printers have the service tag label on the back of the printer (Figure 5).

On All-in-One inkjet printers, the service tag is usually found inside the printer by raising the lid (Figure 6).
The service tag can usually be found on a settings report printed using the operator panel.

Dell printers with a network interface, either wired or wireless, offer a browser-based configuration page. To access the EWS, type the printer IP address into your browser address bar.
