How to replace a VNX2 DPE Power Supply

This Dell EMC Customer Replaceable Unit (CRU) Video demonstrates how to replace a DPE (Disk Processor Enclosure) Power Supply in a VNX2 System.

In this video we will be replacing a power supply module in a Disk Processor Enclosure of the next generation VNX series. After you identify the faulted power supply, in this case the faulted power supply module is on the A side, remove the faulted power supply. First, disconnect the AC power cord from the power supply, then, while grasping the power supply’s handle, push the supply's orange release tab to the right.

Pull the power supply from the base module and place it on a clean, static-free surface. To install the replacement power supply module hold the power supply with the power cord connector on the left, align the power supply with the slot and the base assembly, and push the power supply into the slot until it clicks in place. Now, reconnect the AC power cord to the power supply and secure the cord with a retention bale at the connector.
