in this video we will be replacing a power supply module in a storage processor of a VNX8000. Here it is Power Supply B1. After you’ve identified the faulted power supply remove it by first disconnecting the power cord from the power supply. Use both hands, and pull the plug away from the connector.
Then, swing the plug to the right. While pressing the power supply’s orange tab to the left, use the power supply’s black handle to pull the power supply from the chassis. To install the replacement power supply, align it with the empty slot in the chassis, and push the supply completely into the slot.
An audible click indicates that the supply is completely seated in the slot. Swing the plug over the power supply connector, to reconnect the power cord. Push the plug into the connector, until the hook on the plug snaps onto the black handle of the power supply. The ‘Power Supply Fault’ LED turns off after about two seconds.
