Before you begin, turn off the computer and disconnect all the attached peripherals to remove the memory module.
Loosen the eight screws securing the base cover. Pry the cover away from the recessed points near the hinges. Lift it off the system. Find and unplug the battery cable. Identify the memory module. Pry the retention clips, securing the memory module until the memory module pops up.
Remove the memory module from the slot to reinstall the memory module. Slide the memory module firmly into the slot at an angle. Press the memory module down until the clips. Secure it. Plug in the battery cable. Align and place the base cover on the computer. Tighten the eight captive screws to secure the base cover.
