In this video, we show how to replace the perk module on a power R 7 60 XS before moving the perk module read through and follow the safety guidelines to protect your system from potential damage and ensure your personal safety. In order to remove the perk module, you must first remove the cover air shroud, fan cage assembly and the drive back plane cover to remove the cover, use a screwdriver to rotate the lock counterclockwise to the unlocked position.
Next, lift the release latch, then lift the cover from the system to remove the air shroud, hold the air shroud at both ends and lift it out of the system to remove fan cage assembly. Lift the blue release levers holding the release levers, lift it up and away from the system to remove the dry back blank cover side it towards the rear and lift it away from the system to remove the perk module loosen the thumb screws, securing it in place, pull towards the back and lift it out of the system, then disconnect the data cables from the module to install the perk module, connect the data cables, place it in the slot and slide towards the front of the system.
Then tighten the thumb screws to secure it in place to install the drive back plane cover align and lower into the system and slide it towards the front of the system to install the fan cage assembly align the guide rails with the standoffs on the system and then press the release levers to lock the assembly into the system to install the air shroud, align it with the chassis and lower until firmly seated to install the cover, align the system cover with the guide slots on the system and place it on the system.
