To update the touch pad driver in bios. Open a web browser and go to Dell.com/Support. Identify your system automatically or by typing in the service tag. Select drivers and downloads. And then click on select drivers. Choose your operating system and set the category as mouse, keyboard, and input devices.
Scroll down and click on mouse, keyboard, and input devices. And download the Intel HID event filter driver file. Click on download on the driver details page and wait for the file to finish downloading. Back on the drivers and downloads page. Change the category to bios.
Select BIOs and click on download next to the BIOS update file. When the download finishes, open your downloads folder in File Explorer and open the touchpad driver file. Accept the confirmation prompts and click install. Follow the instructions to complete the installation and restart the computer if asked.
When the touchpad driver installation is finished, go back to your downloads folder and open the BIO's update file. Accept the confirmation Check the box next to suspend bit locker drive encryption. And click update. Follow the instructions to complete the update. And restart the system when prompted.
