Symptoms
When attempting to download an endpoint recovery image, you receive an HTTP 500 error on the screen.

Cause
Several reasons may cause an HTTP 500 error during the image creation.
As an example, get the logs of fru-cru pod with a command like:
admin@vm-qq5k7h:~$ kubectl get pod -A | grep fru-cru
hzp hzp-fru-cru-svc-5fc46f884-5qv9p 2/2 Running 0 5d18h
admin@vm-qq5k7h:~$ kubectl logs hzp-fru-cru-svc-5fc46f884-5qv9p -nhzp
Defaulted container "hzp-fru-cru-svc" out of: hzp-fru-cru-svc, hzp-iam-proxy, init-dependencies (init), hzp-iam-proxy-init (init)
Waiting for sidecar proxy to become ready...
If you see in the log line like below, you are facing the create bundle issue (look for error and "create_bundle" entries):
{"level":"error","component":"hzp-fru-cru-svc","correlationID":null,"marker":"bundle-image","function":"ISG-Edge/hzp-fru-cru-svc/server/services/bundleimageservice.(*Service).Create","error":"exit status 1","time":"2025-03-25T13:35:19Z","message":"Unable to run create_bundle.sh script, command /usr/bin/sudo sh ./scripts/create_bundle.sh -i bundle/5d1a8597-0f9a-4b3f-a4bd-10dab74deefa/reset-factory-os.img -f bundle/5d1a8597-0f9a-4b3f-a4bd-10dab74deefa/factory_os.efi -f bundle/5d1a8597-0f9a-4b3f-a4bd-10dab74deefa/voucher.txt -f ./scripts/cru-config -o bundle/5d1a8597-0f9a-4b3f-a4bd-10dab74deefa/5d1a8597-0f9a-4b3f-a4bd-10dab74deefa.img, output INFO: Getting the image size
