Cause
The scanner utility is not supported on Data Domain Cloud Tier devices. These devices do not allow direct scanning of savesets stored in the cloud tier.
Resolution
To perform a scanner operation, the saveset (including both data and metadata) must first be cloned or recalled to a standard Data Domain (DD) device that is not configured as a Cloud Tier (DD CT).
Once the saveset is available on a standard DD volume, rerun the scanner operation on that device.
Refer to the NetWorker Administration Guide for further details on supported operations for DD Cloud Tier devices.
