Symptoms

The Presentation Server (mgmt-server) scaleio.log reports it is unlinking from the MDM.

The PMDM events and trc logs report that it could not connect to the LDAP service.

Cause

In this scenario, the end-user is using LDAP authentication.

The Presentation Server has an 8-hour token from when a user logs in. After the 8-hour token expires, a subsequent login attempt is made. However, if this attempt fails to establish a connection with the LDAP service, it can lead to the Presentation Server becoming unlinked from the cluster.

Resolution

Re-link the Presentation Server to the PowerFlex cluster via the web UI.
