MC-LAG is getroffen wanneer de status van de keepalive-sessie afneemt in SONiC.

Cause

MC-LAG wordt beïnvloed wanneer de status van de keepalive-sessie afneemt in SONiC. De keepalive in SONiC is geconfigureerd met IPv4 L3-communicatie vergelijkbaar met de back-upkoppeling in OS9 en OS10, wat meestal geen invloed heeft op de VLT-Portchannel-status. De peer-link-status in OS9 en OS10 zal in plaats daarvan de VLT-Portchannel-status beïnvloeden. In SONiC moet de status van de keepalive-sessie echter actief zijn om MC-LAG te kunnen opstarten. Voor de keepalive-koppeling wordt een periodieke hartslag tussen MC-LAG peer-apparaten gebruikt en wordt deze ook gebruikt om de status tussen MC-LAG peer-apparaten te synchroniseren. In tegenstelling tot SONiC gebruiken OS9 en OS10 de peer-link om de status tussen VLT-peerapparaten te synchroniseren.

BESCHRIJVING MCLAG Terminologies

Zodra de koppeling naar de keepalive-sessie is uitgeschakeld, wordt de MC-LAG-status op beide MC-LAG peer-apparaten up/unknown vanwege de synchronisatiefout tussen beide peer-apparaten.

Resolution

Om te zorgen dat MC-LAG zonder problemen aan de slag kan, moet de status van de keepalive link ook actief blijven. De beheerpoort wordt normaal gesproken gebruikt voor de keepalive link, maar poortkanaal met ip-adres dat aan deze poort is toegewezen, kan worden gebruikt voor de keepalive link voor redundantiedoeleinden. Het gedrag (dat MC-LAG zal worden beïnvloed wanneer de status van de keepalive link wordt uitgeschakeld) die in dit KB-artikel wordt beschreven, wordt in alle versies ten minste verwacht tot SONiC versie 4.2.0.
