Cause

Il gruppo MC-LAG viene influenzato quando lo stato della sessione keep-live si interrompe in SONiC. Il keepalive in SONiC è configurato con la comunicazione IPv4 L3 simile al backup-link in OS9 e OS10, che in genere non influisce sullo stato del canale VLT-Port. Lo stato di peer-link in OS9 e OS10 influirà invece sullo stato del canale VLT-Port. Tuttavia, in SONiC, lo stato della sessione keep-live deve essere attivo affinché MC-LAG sia attivo. Per il link keepalive, trasporta l'heartbeat periodico tra i dispositivi peer MC-LAG e viene utilizzato anche per sincronizzare lo stato tra dispositivi peer MC-LAG. A differenza di SONiC, OS9 e OS10 utilizzano il peer-link per sincronizzare lo stato tra dispositivi peer VLT.

Una volta che il link della sessione keep-live si interrompe, lo stato del gruppo MC-LAG su entrambi i dispositivi peer MC-LAG diventa up/unknown a causa dell'errore di sincronizzazione tra entrambi i dispositivi peer.

Resolution

Affinché MC-LAG rimanga operativo senza problemi, anche lo stato del link keepalive deve rimanere operativo. La porta di gestione viene normalmente utilizzata per il link keepalive, ma il canale della porta con indirizzo IP assegnato può essere utilizzato per il link keepalive a scopo di ridondanza. Il comportamento (che influirà sul gruppo MC-LAG quando lo stato del link keepalive si interrompe) descritto in questo articolo della Knowledge Base è previsto in tutte le versioni fino alla versione SONiC 4.2.0.
