Symptoms

 

The audio recorded by internal microphone using the Microsoft camera application has a low sound volume.

There are no issue using other apps (Netflix/YouTube/Zoom/Teams).

Affected Platforms:

  • Dell 14 Plus DB14250
  • Dell 16 Plus DB16250
  • Dell 14 Plus 2-in-1 DB04250
  • Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 DB06350

   

Cause

 

This is a Realtek Audio driver timing issue.

   

Resolution

 

Updating the Audio Driver to version 10.0.166.1, A01 on the computer resolves the issue. To download and install the driver, reference How to Download and Install Dell Drivers.
