How to find serial number on a VNX1 or VNX2 array.
There are 2 ways to obtain the serial number on the VNX array.
There are 2 ways to obtain the serial number on the VNX array.
- Unisphere
- Login to Unisphere GUI
- Select the array
- Serial number can be found under "System Information" on "Dashboard"
- CLI:
- For Unified array, login to control station and run the following command: /nas/sbin/serial
Example:
[nasadmin@CS0 ~]$ /nas/sbin/serial
APM00111001117
- For block-only array, run the following command from workstation command prompt. The command below requires "Navisphere CLI" software installed onto the workstation:
Command: naviseccli -h <SPA_or_SPB_IP> -user <system_user> -password <system_password> -scope 0 getagent
