Som standard använder Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) User Datagram Protocol (UDP) Transport Layer Protocol för att rapportera nodtillstånd individuellt på Elastic Cloud Storage (ECS). Ibland används TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) som är ett sessionsbaserat protokoll för SNMP. Detta krävs för specifika säkerhets- eller driftsproblem som kräver att TCP-protokollet används.
 
Följande kan konfigureras för att tillåta TCP- och UDP-kommunikation via SNMP:
  1. Lägg till agentadress udp:161,tcp:161 för att tillåta TCP- och UDP-protokoll på nodens SNMP-agenter:
Kommandot:
# sudo vi /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf

Exempel:

  1. Starta om SNMP-agenten på noderna för att göra de nya ändringarna i konfigurationen:

# sudo systemctl restart snmpd
# sudo systemctl status snmpd

  1. Kontrollera att ändringarna har gjorts och att SNMP lyssnar på TCP- och UDP-protokoll:
