Som standard bruker Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Bruker Datagram Protocol (UDP) Transport Layer Protocol til å rapportere nodetilstand individuelt på Elastic Cloud Storage (ECS). Noen ganger brukes TCP (Transmission Control Protocol), som er en øktbasert protokoll for SNMP. Dette er nødvendig for spesifikke sikkerhets- eller driftsbekymringer som krever at TCP-protokollen brukes.
 
Følgende kan konfigureres for å tillate TCP- og UDP-kommunikasjon over SNMP:
  1. Legg til agentadresse udp:161,tcp:161 for å tillate TCP- og UDP-protokoller på nodenSNMP-agenter:
Kommandoen:
# sudo vi /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf

Eksempel:

  1. Start SNMP-agenten på nytt på nodene for å utføre de nye endringene i konfigurasjonen:

  1. Bekreft at endringene fant sted, og at SNMP lytter på TCP- og UDP-protokoller:
