Data Domain (DD) può essere configurato con un server SMTP in uscita per l'inoltro di e-mail (ad esempio ASUP giornalieri).

Per impostazione predefinita, DD si connette all'inoltro configurato sulla porta TCP 25, ma a seconda della configurazione dell'utente, la porta potrebbe essere diversa.

Procedura:   
Per modificare la porta SMTP in uscita:    
  1. Accedere a DD come "sysadmin" o come utente simile
  2. NOTA: I comandi SE sono stati obsoleti nelle versioni DDOS 7.7.5.25, 7.10.1.15, 7.13.0.15, 6.2.1.110 e successive e sono accessibili solo dai dipendenti Dell
  3. Dalla modalità SE, modificare la chiave del Registro di sistema che imposta la porta del client SMTP in uscita da utilizzare.
Ad esempio:    
#### This command will return no output if a non-default port is set
# reg show config_master.net.smtp_port
#
#### To set a port other than the default, i.e: . 587
# reg set config_master.net.smtp_port 587
