Symptoms

En temperatursensor har oppdaget en temperatur som er over en kritisk terskel.
Det kan hende at en komponent ikke fungerer som den skal, noe som får en temperatursensor til å rapportere at et kritisk nivå er nådd.
En temperatursensor på noden rapporterer at et kritisk nivå er nådd.

Cause

Det har oppstått et problem som førte til at en temperatursensor gikk over et kritisk nivå.

Resolution

For Gen2, bla til bunnen.

3. Mulige scenarier:
  1. Én node som bare rapporterer en sensor eller flere: Hvis problemet oppstår på bare én node der temperaturen rapporterer at den ikke er "OK", indikerer dette sannsynligvis et delproblem eller at noden ikke har god luftstrøm på grunn av et mer sannsynlig internt problem enn et rackproblem.
  2. Flere noder er berørt, dette er mer et miljøproblem i selve racket eller mulig datasenteret


4. Kontroller at viftene kjører som de skal. Hvis ikke, kan det hende at en vifte må byttes ut.

4. Viktig: Bruk https://central.dell.com/case-lookup/  og slå opp PSNT (Product Serial Number Tag) for å kontrollere historikken. Sjekk hvor mange hendelser som har skjedd i løpet av de siste 3-6 månedene. Sjekk om problemet var vedvarende og påvirket flere noder, eller hvis et helt rack er berørt med innløpstemperatur som er høyere enn normalt, indikerer dette et vedvarende miljøproblem som skal løses. Ikke lukk saken som duplikat med mindre det foreligger en klar handlingsplan og konklusjoner for å løse temperaturproblemet. 

5. Hvis PE-teamet ikke finner et problem, eller hvis historikken inneholder mange forekomster fra samme varsel (i 3 måneder eller mer), må du konsultere en L2 over Swarm og forberede deg på å bestille en CE for å gjennomgå miljøforholdene til racket og nodene som er berørt.
