Symptoms

PowerPath 5.7.x schakelt Automatische hostregistratie standaard in tijdens de installatie.

PowerPath 6.0 schakelt Automatische hostregistratie standaard uit tijdens de installatie.

Het IP-adres van de Unisphere-hostregistratie kan onbedoeld worden gewijzigd voor een host met meerdere hosts.

Cause

Array Auto Host Registration is een proces dat speciale I/O-opdrachten langs elk pad stuurt om de initiators te registreren. De informatie die in de registratie wordt verzonden, omvat het initiatortype, de hostnaam en het IP-adres. De array gebruikt deze informatie om het juiste SCSI-gedrag te bepalen voor weergave op de host en om hosts weer te geven om verbinding te maken met de storage. Auto Host Registration vereenvoudigt het configuratieproces.

Resolution

Volg de onderstaande oplossingsstappen die overeenkomen met uw scenario om automatische hostregistratie uit te schakelen bij gebruik van PowerPath 5.7.x:

Scenario 1: PowerPath is nog niet geïnstalleerd:


Gebruik tijdens de installatie de CLI-optie AUTO_HOST_REGISTRATION=0. Bijvoorbeeld:

EMCPower.X64.signed.<version>.<build>.exe /v"/L*v C:\PPsetup.log AUTO_HOST_REGISTRATION=0"


Scenario 2: PowerPath is al geïnstalleerd met de standaardinstelling. Automatische hostregistratie is ingeschakeld:

  1. Verwijder PowerPath.
  2. Start opnieuw op.
  3. Deregistreer de host in Unisphere en registreer deze opnieuw met het juiste IP-adres (indien vereist).
  4. Installeer PowerPath via de CLI-optie om automatische hostregistratie uit te schakelen:
EMCPower.X64.signed.<version>.<build>.exe /v"/L*v C:\PPsetup.log AUTO_HOST_REGISTRATION=0"
 
  1. Start opnieuw op.

Wanneer u PowerPath 6.0 gebruikt, gebruikt u het pictogram powermt set auto_host_registration={on|off} commando om het AAN of UIT te zetten. De computer dient opnieuw opgestart te worden.


Gebruik de powermt display options om de Auto Host Registration-status te controleren.
