Symptoms

Se deben federar dos ECS en diferentes sitios.
Cuando se intenta agregar el VDC de DR al ECS primario, se muestra el siguiente mensaje de error en la interfaz de usuario:

  
Virtual Data Center creation failure. Be sure that you have correctly entered the IP address(s) of online devices and that Data Services has completed initialization. Please correct input or retry after a few minutes. Service Error details: Error 7000 (http: 500): An error occurred in the API Service. An error occurred in the API service. Cause: error insertVdcInfo.

Cause

El VDC en el ECS secundario se crea a través del VDC primario y cuando se agrega a la federación. Si ya hay un VDC creado, el procedimiento falla.

Resolution

Un VDC que ya se creó en el sitio secundario. Lo que se intentó agregar en el sitio principal no funcionará, lo que generará el mensaje de error anterior.
De acuerdo con el procedimiento de la Guía del administrador de ECS más reciente, el sitio secundario de ECS solo necesita la creación de un pool de almacenamiento y la carga de una licencia válida.


NO se debe crear ningún VDC en el ECS secundario. Se crea a través del sitio principal de ECS.

 

Ensure the site you are adding has a valid license uploaded and has at least one
storage pool in the Ready state.

If you encounter this issue, open a Service Request with Dell EMC customer support and note this KB.
