PowerPath for Solaris：SRDF Metro構成で、近接性が機能していません。

「powermt display options」で「Proximity」が有効になっているにもかかわらず、PowerPathはリモート アレイを「asb:prox」として報告せず、すべてのパスに「active:alive」と表示されます。

Cause

Solaris上のPowerPathは、スタンバイとして設定する準最適パスを自動的に検出できません(自動スタンバイとの近接)。autostandbyと近接を有効にした後も、powermtコマンドですべてのパス(準最適を含む)が「asb:prox」ではなく「アクティブ」と報告されます。

これは設計どおりに機能しています。Solaris上のasb:proxは、VPLEXジオ クラスターでのみ使用でき、SRDF Metroでは使用できません。この機能は、PowerPath for Solarisの最新(かつ最終)リリースが開発された後に利用可能になりました。したがって、すべてのデバイスが「asb:prox」ではなく「active」であると表示されるのは正常です。

Resolution

PowerPath for Solarisは、SRDF Metro環境で設計されたとおりに動作します。必要に応じて、次のような手動コマンドを使用して、リモート アレイへのパスをスタンバイに設定できます。  
powermt set mode=standby dev=c14t50000975a8134c1f
powermt set mode=standby dev=c30t50000975a8134c9f
Solaris環境では、有効になっている場合でも、「近接」はVPLEXでのみ考慮され、VMAX SRDF Metroでは考慮されません。OracleによるSolarisでの開発が停止されたため、SolarisでのPowerPathの新機能の開発も停止されました。
