本教程介绍如何更换预测性故障或即将发生故障的磁盘。磁盘总是稍大于指定的规格，因为它有空间用来放置坏块。虽然允许有若干读/写错误，但如果达到阈值，控制器就会将磁盘的状态更改为“预测性故障”，因为重新安置表已满。
磁盘将继续工作，但硬盘出即将现故障的概率较高。因为该磁盘仍然工作，而且是RAID不可分割的一部分，因此，磁盘在更换前必须离线。本教程将指导您将硬盘离线
前提条件：
为完成此以下步骤，必须安装模块化磁盘存储软件(MDSM)。计算机必须能够访问存储阵列。步骤：
启动MDSM。如果您有多个PowerVault阵列，请选择其中的一个。请确保其状态为“Optimal”（常见下图）。

双击该阵列以访问矩阵管理器。
单击 Hardware，然后选择要使其离线的磁盘。

单击鼠标右键并选择 Advanced，然后选择 Fail。

要验证操作，将打开一个菜单，要求您确认手动磁盘故障。键入“Yes”进行确认。
- 如果您有备用磁盘，请保持复选框“Copy contents of physical disk before failing”仍处于选中状态。
- 如果您没有备用磁盘，请取消选中“Copy contents of physical disk before failing”复选框。
该磁盘会有一个红色叉号，并处于“Failed”状态。最后一步是以物理方式更换驱动器。
