Instructions
This tutorial covers the update of MD3060e daisy chained with MD3x60 array using Modular Disk Storage Manager (MDSM).
EMM updates can be made in production if the cabling is correct. The Recovery Guru indicates if there are any issues. If there are any issues, contact Support for assistance.
Prerequisites:
- Download MD3060e_Firmware_039F.zip
- Extract the contents to a folder on the system running MDSM
Steps:
- Verify that the storage array is optimal
- Open MDSM
- Double-click or right click -> Manage on the wanted storage array
- Check that the array shows Optimal
- If it shows "Needs Attention",
- Work through the listed errors
- Contact Support if assistance is needed
- Click Upgrade on the Tool bar
- Click EMM Firmware
- The update window opens

- Click Select File...
- Find the MD3060e_Firmware_039F.esm from the downloaded file
- Click Start
- There is a confirmation message when the update completes
