Instructions

If you do not want to receive informational severity events, you can adjust which severity is used for the Alert. The following example shows how to modify the alert to only send out notifications for emergency, critical and warning events.

v8.0.x and lower:

View the current settings:
 

#isi event alert view <alert name>
 

Set the severity type:

# isi event alerts modify <alert name> --add-severity <severity type>
 

Verify the change:
 

# isi event alerts view <alert name>
      Name: Alert Name
Eventgroup: -
  Category: all
       Sev: ECW
   Channel: SMTP1
 Condition: NEW
 

v8.1.x and higher:

Verify current settings:
 

#isi event alerts view <alert name>
 

Set severity type, add severity or remove severity type that you want to be alerted on:

#isi event alerts modify <alert name> --severity=emergency,critical,warning --channel <channel name>
 

Verify the change:

#isi event alert view <alert name>
