XCOPY 自 GeoSnchrony 5.3 版本起就已存在。連接至 VPLEX 前端連接埠的 ESX 主機會將 XCOPY 視為支援的功能。

XCOPY 在交叉連接主機所使用的兩個本機 VPLEX 磁碟區上失敗，其中一個磁碟區作為來源磁碟區使用，另一個作為目標磁碟區。

若要識別 VMotion 何時因 XCOPY 而故障，請檢查韌體記錄是否有下列事件訊息：

這些事件訊息只會在嘗試 VMotion 的時間範圍內顯示。

Cause

如果接收 VPLEX 導向器無法同時連接來源和目標磁碟區，XCOPY 作業會失敗。

Resolution

請檢查下列條件，因為 XCOPY 會失敗，如果符合其中任何一個條件：
 
1.  目標描述元中提供的 WWPN 不對應於任何邏輯單元 （LU）。  
2.  STDFLU 私人資料指標為 NULL。
3.  如果未匯出 LU。（不屬於儲存檢視或未透過此導向器遮罩）

源 LU 和目標 LU 都會進行此驗證。

XCOPY 來源和目標磁碟區必須呈現給整個叢集的儲存檢視：
 
  • 將來源磁碟區匯出至已匯出目標磁碟區的儲存檢視。 

VPlexcli：/> cd /clusters/cluster-1/exports/storage-views/Test_Storage_View

VPlexcli：/clusters/cluster-1/exports/storage-views/Test_Storage_View>export storage-view addvirtualvolume （Source_Volume ） --force
 
  • 將目標磁碟區匯出至已匯出來源磁碟區的儲存檢視。 

VPlexcli：/> cd /clusters/cluster-2/exports/storage-views/Test_Storage_View
VPlexcli：/clusters/cluster-2/exports/storage-views/Test_Storage_View>export storage-view addvirtualvolume （Target_Volume ） --force
 
  • 將來源裝置和目標裝置的可見度設定為全域。
