Dell Repository Manager Option - iDRAC Integration:

Integration Repository Features

  • Creates a repository by linking with a preexisting inventory pulled by a Dell Console

  • Communicates to the remote consoles over port 443

  • Easiest way to use existing monitoring to tailor repository and minimize catalog size

  • Supports OME, iDRAC, OMIVV, OMIMSSC

Note: Dell Console Integration appears to be an unneeded legacy choice.

Create an Integration Repository:

  • In the DRM GUI, select the Add Repository option in the upper left

  • Name the Repository

  • Change the Base Catalog if not using the Default Dell Online

  • Change to Integration Tab

  • Choose the Console to connect to, and credentials

Note: Wizard says IP but hostname, and FQDN are valid as well.
  • Depending on the Console, you are asked to select a Group (like OME), or list of known servers (OMIVV/OMIMSSC)

Troubleshooting Integration Repository

  • Since it uses port 443, it should largely work except for permission issues

  • Confirm that DRM's network settings are properly configured
  • Rule out DNS if using hostname/FQDN

  • For Windows DRM use Wireshark and Linux, use TCPDUMP to packet capture why it is failing
