Instructions
May see below alert on DD if cloud metadata tier storage is more than 90% full.
If the above alert is not fixed, soon the Data Movement (FMIG) fails when Cloud Metadata Tier is out of space.
The following alert is seen:
The Cloud Metadata Tier space utilization can be seen with the following command:
# filesys show space tier cloud local-metadata
If Cloud Clean cannot free up space in the Metadata Tier, it may be necessary to add additional shelves.
Verify the maximum supported metadata shelves or packs on Data Domain Model and DD OS version. Search Dell Technologies Support Manuals or the Dell DD and PowerProtect Hardware Features and Specifications for the installed version of DD OS.

If the maximum supported shelves are already added to the cloud metadata tier, do not proceed further.
Contact Dell support by creating a Service Request here and reference KB number 187052.

2> Take a downtime of 30 minutes and disable FS.
# filesys disable
3> Add the disk shelf to the cloud tier.
# storage add tier cloud {enclosures <enclosure-list> | disks <disk-list>}
Specify <enclosure-list> as: A comma or space-separated list formatted
{<enclosure-id>[:<pack-id>]} or <enclosure-id>-<enclosure-id>
Example: # storage add tier cloud enclosures 6:3 Checking storage requirements...done Adding enclosure 6:3 to the cloud tier...Enclosure 6:3 successfully added to the cloud tier. Updating system information...done Successfully added: 6:3 done
4> Check the capacity under Current cloud tier size.
5> Enable DD file system.
6> The cloud metadata storage alert should now be cleared. Check available metadata storage space.
