range                   = (0,511)
description = Default umask used to create a file or a directory

detailed_description
Determines default value that will be used for the shares where no specific umask is specified.
The default setting for this parameter is 0x12 (octal 022).
Umask with 022 means rw-r--r-- for file creation and rwxr-xr-x for directories.
...
The above result indicates that this parameter is a global parameter and that a restart of the NAS Server is required for the setting to take effect.
However, it requires SP reboot to make the change take effect.
  1. Change the settings.
If the umask value is to be 000, set value to 0.
svc_nas ALL -param -facility ftpd -modify umask -value 0
If the value of umask is to be 222, set value to 146.
Octal = 222 Decimal = 146
svc_nas ALL -param -facility ftpd -modify umask -value 146
# svc_nas ALL -param -facility ftpd -modify umask -value 146

SPA : done
SPB : done
  1. Reboot both SPs one by one to make the change take effect.
