Symptoms

Tijdens het toevoegen van een nieuw gemaakt apparaat aan de storagegroep met de opdracht symaccess mislukte het met de foutmelding "Unconfigured devices" 
symaccess -sid <SID> -name <SG_Name> -type stor add -dev <DevID> -lun <Addr>
Overgeslagen apparaten:
1 Niet-geconfigureerde apparaten

Cause

Nieuw gemaakt apparaat toevoegen aan SG

Resolution

Controleer het controlelogboek en de symapi.log om te controleren of het apparaat is gemaakt. Zo ja, voer dan uit 
"symdev -sid <SID> show <DevID>"
Controleer eerst of er apparaatgegevens worden vermeld.
In het geval dat symdev show mislukt met fout, d.w.z.  
"The operation cannot be completed because one or more devices are unconfigured"
 Ren dan alsjeblieft 
 "symcfg discover -nocache"
en probeer de bewerking opnieuw uit te voeren.

Ontdek : Scant alle apparaten op de host op zoek naar Symmetrix apparaten en bouwt (of herbouwt) de Symmetrix hostdatabase.
-nocache : Slaat de cache over en scant de apparaten opnieuw voor configuratiegegevens.
