VxRail: Plug-in Missing after Upgrading Customer-supplied vCenter to 8

Summary: vCenter 8.0 is not compatible with the VxRail plug-in in VxRail 7.0.405 and earlier.

Symptoms

A customer-supplied vCenter upgraded to vSphere 8.0 with VxRail clusters running versions prior to VxRail 7.0.410 release, may result in the VxRail plug-in missing.

Check from vCenter UI, Client Plugins page, VxRail HTML5 Client Plugin is in "Failed" status due to "Error deploying plug-in"

Cause

The VxRail plug-in in VxRail 7.0.405 and earlier is not compatible with vCenter 8.0.
VxRail 7.0.410 and above includes an update version of the VxRail plug-in which is compatible with vCenter 8.0.

Resolution

Contact Dell Technical Support or your Authorized Service Representative to help deploy the compatible VxRail plug-in on the vSphere 8.0 vCenter.
