Dell Unity：stratum値が6以上のNTPサーバーと同期できない

Summary: Unityアレイは、階層値が6以上のNTPサーバーと同期できません。 Unisphereではエラーは表示されませんが、Unityクロックは同期されません。

Symptoms

この例では、NTPサーバーにアクセスできますが、Stratum値が6に設定されているため、UnityはNTPサーバーと同期できません。これはコマンドの svc_ntp -i 出力から判断できます。NTPサーバーの行の先頭に「*」記号はありません。

Cause

では /etc/ntp.conf、次の行を使用すると、ntpdが階層値6以上のNTPサーバーとの同期を妨げています。

Resolution

 
この問題を解決するには、2つのオプションがあります。
  1. 階層値5以下で構成されたNTPサーバーを使用します。  
10分ほど待ってから、 コマンドを svc_ntp -s 実行してntpdがNTPサーバーと同期していることを確認します。出力にはNTPエントリーの左側にアスタリスクが付き、stratum値(st)は5以下にする必要があります。

  1. この方法ではrootアクセスが必要な場合は、Dellテクニカル サポートまたはライセンスサービスプロバイダに連絡してファイルを編集 /etc/ntp.conf し、次の行の値を変更してデフォルトの5より大きい stratum 値をサポートします。

サポートされる最大値は15です。

例： 
# cp /etc/ntp.conf /cores/service/user/ntp.conf.bak
# sed -i -e 's/tos orphan 6/tos orphan 7/g' /etc/ntp.conf
# diff /etc/ntp.conf /cores/service/user/ntp.conf.bak

次のコマンドを実行します。


svc_ntp -s
注: の値/etc/ntp.confはtos orphan、Unity OEのアップグレード後に元の値に戻る場合があります。

メモ：時間差が大きすぎる場合は、変更を有効にするためにSP(ストレージ プロセッサー)の再起動が必要になる場合があります。
