Symptoms

På Dell-klientcomputere, hvor BIOS er konfigureret med administratoradgangskoden, kan DU-værktøjet ikke opgradere computerens BIOS

.DU viser "Installation fuldført: X (antal opdateringer) opdateringer mislykkedes", hvor BIOS blev valgt til at blive installeret og mislykkedes.

Dette er en fejl, der ses i både BIOS og operativsystemet (Figur 1).

Resolution

Udfør en af følgende løsninger for at aktivere BIOS-opgraderinger via Dell Update:

  • Fjern den konfigurerede BIOS-adgangskode på computeren.
  • Opgrader BIOS manuelt:

 

Advarsel: Dell Technologies anbefaler at frakoble enheder som f.eks. eksterne harddiske, printere, scannere osv., før du opdaterer BIOS.

 

Advarsel: Bærbare computere fra Dell skal have det installerede batteri opladet til mindst 10 %, før du starter BIOS-opdateringen. Dell Technologies anbefaler, at den bærbare computer tilsluttes netstrøm, før du fortsætter med opdateringen.

  • Sådan downloader og installerer du den nyeste BIOS:
  1. Gå til Dell drivere og downloads.
  2. Identificer din Dell-computer.
    1. Klik på Download og installer SupportAssist for automatisk at registrere din Dell-computer. Følg anvisningerne på skærmen for at installere Dell SupportAssist. Du kan finde flere oplysninger i Dell-artiklen Dell SupportAssist (tidligere Dell System Detect): Oversigt og almindelige spørgsmål
    2. Indtast servicekoden på den bærbare computer, og klik på Søg.
    3. Du kan også klikke på Gennemse alle produkter og vælge din Dell-computer fra kataloget.
  3. Vælg det Operativsystem, der er installeret på Dell-computeren.
  4. Under Kategori skal du vælge BIOS.
  5. Find den nyeste BIOS til systemet.
  6. Klik på Download, og gem filen på computeren.
  7. Åbn Stifinder for at finde det sted, hvor den downloadede fil er gemt.
  8. Dobbeltklik på BIOS-opsætningsfilen, og følg anvisningerne på skærmen for at fuldføre installationen.
