Cause
The F4 mute mic hotkey only controls the recording device on the laptop, and it cannot control the application behavior.
Resolution
Zoom Meeting Mute and Unmute
The Zoom meeting default shortcut for mute or unmute audio is "Alt + A." You can use the Zoom hotkey (Alt + A) to mute or unmute the mic during a Zoom meeting. You can access the Zoom app "Setting → Keyboard Shortcuts" or the Zoom Website
