PowerProtect Data Manager UI 會顯示下列故障訊息：

ABV0016: VM Direct engine 'localhost' is unable to back up the virtual machine 'VM1' on vCenter 'vcsa01' because of a vCenter API issue.

The VM Direct engine cannot complete the backup of this virtual machine because a vCenter API operation did not complete successfully.
To troubleshoot this issue:

     *Verify that the vCenter can be reached.
     *If the vCenter is busy, wait for some activities to complete and then retry the operation.
     *Verify that the virtual machine exists on the vCenter.

VMware Data Protection Daemon （DPD） 服務中的問題。

因應措施失敗 1：

若為失敗 1，其中 DPD 傳回 SyncInProgress 訊息，請在受影響的 ESXi 主機上重新啟動 DPD 服務，如下所示：

1. 從 vSphere UI 中，找出受影響的 VM 並 尋找 VM 所在的 ESXi 主機 。
2. 重新啟動 DPD 服務：

3. 重新啟動 DPD 服務時可能會收到錯誤。如果是這樣，請先重新啟動 TSDM 服務，然後重新啟動 DPD 服務。
4. 重新啟動 TSDM 服務。
5. 重試 失敗的 備份。

解決方案

受影響的版本：
vSphere 7.0.3 （全部）、8.0.0
修正程序預期在未來 vSphere 版本中適用。

故障 2 的因應措施：

失敗 2 時，DPD 傳回訊息「由於現有使用中快照，無法啟動完全同步」，因應措施是重設 LWD。LWD 可以按如下方式重置：

方法 1：

1. 將 VM 上的保護機制從 VAPD 變更回 LWD，如下所示：

2. 將保護機制變更 回 Transparent Snapshot：

方法 2：

從保護原則中移除虛擬機器，然後重新新增。如果 PowerProtect Data Manager 的 vVersion 為 19.12，請使用方法 1 或方法 3。方法 2 不適用於 PowerProtect Data Manager 19.12。

方法 3：

使用 vmconfig 工具停用並重新啟用 LWD。
