PowerFlex 4.X: When modifying an ESXi software bundle using an .iso file, the IC gets stuck in the synchronizing state

  • When uploading a modified ESXi software bundle using an ISO, the RCM/IC might get stuck in the synchronizing state:

Impact

RCM/IC will never finish synchronizing.

Cause

Due to a missing failure handling mechanism, in the SCU code, for incorrect ESXi software bundle being used for modification, the synchronizing will never finish succesfuly.

Resolution

 Upload the same RCM/IC again and modify with the correct bundle.
