Error message when installing Alienware Command Center v6.3

Cause

AWCCSmartInstaller: Peripherals component installer is migrating to the InstallShield framework for their component. An error occurs during copying or removing of some files, when trying to uninstall any previous versions and install the newer version.

Resolution

Short-Term for 6.3:

Clicking OK interrupts the installation process. Run the Dell Update Package (Install Manager) file a second time to fix the issue and successfully install AWCC v6.3.

Long Term:

Support ticket has been raised with InstallShield on this specific issue. We see an issue in the uninstallation of the old peripheral package which is based on the NSIS framework and the new one on InstallShield.
