To change the Dell Logo as the profile picture, do the following steps:
- Disable the Unified Write Filter
- Reboot the device and login as Administrator or account with administrator rights.
Warning: The next step is a Windows Registry edit:

- Editing the Registry can cause the computer to become unresponsive on the next reboot.

- Go to the Windows Registry
- Start, Run, type in Regedit.
- Go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer "UseDefaultTile"=dword:00000001
Change the above value from 1 to 0, so it looks like:"UseDefaultTile"=dword:00000000
- Close Regedit, Enable the Unified Write Filter, and reboot the device.
- The user can now change or remove the profile picture for Windows 10 IoT 2021.
Steps to change the profile picture after the registry change are:
- Disable the Unified Write Filter
- Reboot the device and login with the desired account.
- Change the account profile picture the same way that you would do it with regular windows in Settings > Accounts.
- Re-enable the Unified Write Filter and reboot the device.
