Summary: The "sys" alias for "system" does not work anymore in the DD CLI.

Instructions

This "sys" alias for "system" has been removed by design starting DDOS 7.7.5.40, DDOS 8.1 and later.

Using the alias results in an error:

sysadmin@ng-dd01# sys show date
That doesn't look like a valid command, displaying help...

These releases introduce a new admin command "sysparam" for tuning system parameters.

As a result, the alias "sys" could create a conflict.

Please use the command "system" henceforth, instead of the "sys" alias.

Affected Products

DD OS 8.1
