Dell Encryption and Windows 11 24H2 Shutdown and Hibernate No Longer Function as Expected

Microsoft is releasing a feature update named 24H2 to Windows 11. When Dell Encryption is installed on the computer, the hibernate and shutdown functions no longer work as expected. The computer goes into sleep mode instead of shutting down or hibernating.

Resolution
This is resolved in Dell Encryption v11.10.1 and later.
Workaround:
Disable the Fast Startup features of Windows.
To disable Fast Startup:
- Open the Control Panel (icons view) and click the Power Options icon.
- Click Choose what the power buttons do link on the left side
- Click Change settings that are currently unavailable link at the top
- If prompted by UAC, click Yes
