Note: Dell AI Framework and models are platform-specific downloads. From the Dell Support link, set the Operating system dropdown to Windows 11 for Intel or Windows 11 ARM64 for Qualcomm compatible downloads.

Add Phi-3.5-Mini-Instruct for Intel x64 Processors

Note: Due to .msi file size limitations, the model .zip file and .msi installer must be in the same folder.
  1. Open the Configuration Manager Console.

  2. Go to Software Library, Application Management, and then Applications.

  3. Click the Create Application button in the top ribbon.

  4. Click the radio button for Manually specify the application information and then click Next.

  5. Enter a name and provide any needed information (such as Publisher and Software version). Update the application Owners and Support contacts if needed, then click Next.

  6. On the Software Center entry screen, update the Selected language if needed and then click Next.

  7. On the Deployment Types screen, click Add.

  8. Click the radio button to Manually specify the deployment type information and then click Next.

  9. Provide a Name, then click Next.

    Note: Optionally, a language can be selected by clicking Select and then picking a language from the provided list.
  10. Click Browse next to the Content location, select the folder where the installer is located, then click Next.

  11. In the Installation program field, type msiexec /i "Dell.Model.Phi-3.5-mini-instruct.NPU.OVGAI.x64.msi" /norestart /qn.

  12. In the Uninstall program field, type msiexec /x "Dell.Model.Phi-3.5-mini-instruct.NPU.OVGAI.x64.msi" /norestart /qn and then click Next.

  13. On the Detection Method page, click the Add Clause button.

  14. Click the Setting Type drop down menu, select Windows Installer, then click Browse.

  15. Select the Phi-3.5-mini-instruct installer and then click Open.

  16. Click OK.

  18. On User Experience, set the options below and then click Next.
    • Installation behavior: Install for system
    • Logon requirement: Whether or not a user is logged on
    • Installation program visibility: Hidden

  19. On the Requirements page, click Add and select the requirements based on your needs, then click OK and add any additional requirements.

  21. On the Dependencies page, click Add.

  22. Provide a Dependency group name and then click Add.

  23. Select Dell AI Framework and then click OK.
