Dell NativeEdge: After Editing iSCSI volume LUN, the iSCSI virtual disk will turn degraded

Summary: After Logical Unit Number of the iSCSI volume is edited, the iSCSI virtual disk will turn degraded.

Symptoms

When the iSCSI Volume's Logical Unit Number (LUN) is modified on the iSCSI target after mapping it to a NativeEdge endpoint (iSCSI host), if there are deployments running on the iSCSI datastore, the Virtual Disk will turn Degraded and the Datastore will be offline. However if there are no deployments running on the iSCSI datastore, Virtual Disk will turn Degraded and Datastore will be restored to online.

Cause

When the new LUNs are updated, the deployments hold the resources and hence it is unable to remount the Datastore.

Resolution

As a workaround, the device can be rebooted to restore the Virtual Disks & Datastores to Online State.

A permanent solution will be implemented in future NativeEdge releases.
