Ab der Version 2508 (August 2025) von Windows IoT Enterprise ist TightVNC nicht mehr auf Geräten installiert, die ab Werk ausgeliefert werden, und auch nicht mehr in neu veröffentlichten E-Support-Images und Softwarepaketen. Dies betrifft sowohl die Betriebssysteme Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 als auch Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024.

Dell deinstalliert TightVNC nicht von vorhandenen Thin Clients und die Wyse Management Suite (WMS) lässt weiterhin die Verwendung für Remote-Shadowing-Funktionen zu.

Dell empfiehlt die Verwendung von TightVNC nicht mehr (Peer-to-Peer in WMS ersetzt TightVNC). Wenn Ihr Unternehmen weiterhin TightVNC verwendet, muss es auf neueren Thin Clients installiert werden.
