Sintomi

When registering a PowerMax storage array in VSI 10.0 the following error is observed:

register system


The VSI logs post the following events:

Causa

The array being registered is running embedded Unisphere v9.x. The version of VSI is v10.x.

As per page 16 of the VSI v10 Product guide the requirements state: 
"A supported PowerMaxOS release and Unisphere for PowerMax 10.0 and above..."

Risoluzione

There are two workarounds:
  • Use v9.x of the VSI plug-in
  • Install a stand-alone version of Unisphere for PowerMax v10
