A message similar to this may be displayed in the MCCLI event show, the Avamar User Interface (AUI) events page, or in /var/log/messages:
EventID: 52804 A memory device error occurred. The system may continue to function as normal (except for a multibit error). Replace the memory module identified in the message during the system's next scheduled maintenance. Clear the memory error on multibit ECC error. The memory device status and location are provided

Log in to the affected node and run the following command:
Omreport chassis memory
A failed memory slot similar to the following may be returned:
Index : 3 Status : Critical Connector Name : A4 Type : DDR4 - Synchronous Registered (Buffered) Size : 16384 MB
Example of output for a normal memory slot:
Index : 6 Status : Ok Connector Name : B1 Type : DDR4 - Synchronous Registered (Buffered) Size : 16384 MB
An unoccupied memory slot still has a connector name. Example of output for an unoccupied memory slot:

There are several Error Codes that make up this Symptom Code. Most of them require no action. The following event codes require action.
Notice that the error codes may be designated as either Event Code, MessageID, or Code:

| MEM0001 | Multi-bit memory errors are detected on the memory device at location arg1. | Immediately replace the DIMM. |
| MEM0702 | System detected and corrected memory errors | Reboot the system to enable potential memory self-healing. |
| MEM9072 | The system memory has uncorrectable multi-bit memory errors in the nonexecution path of a memory device at the location arg1. | Immediately replace the DIMM. |

Immediately replace the DIMM. |
If the recommended action above is to replace the DIMM, use the Connector Name to specify which slot should be replaced. There is no need to replace multiple slots, as was the case in Gen4t.
