症状

The following PowerStoreOS software versions may be exposed to this issue:
  • PowerStoreOS 3.0.x
  • PowerStoreOS 3.2.x

The following changes to a PowerStore environment may expose this issue:
  • Direct software upgrade from PowerStoreOS 3.0.x to PowerStoreOS 4.0.0.x
  • Direct software upgrade from PowerStoreOS 3.2.x to PowerStoreOS 4.0.0.x

The following host mechanism may contribute to exposing this issue:
  • Use of SCSI reservations to control access to volumes. SCSI reservations are seen in clustered host environments, hosts configured for high availability, virtualized environments, and when using backup/restore based applications.

原因

SCSI reservation requests sent to a PowerStore appliance during a software upgrade may not be processed correctly.

In rare scenarios, internal services may be impacted for a brief period of time.

解决方案

This issue is not encountered when performing a direct upgrade from PowerStoreOS 3.0.x or PowerStoreOS 3.2.x to PowerStoreOS 4.0.1.0 (and greater).
