Removing the Hard Drive

1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
2. Remove the:
   1. base cover
   2. battery
3. Perform the following steps to remove the hard-drive bracket from the computer:
   1. Remove the screws securing the hard-drive bracket to the computer [1].
   2. Lift the hard-drive bracket off the computer [2].
   
4. Perform the following steps to remove the hard-drive:
   1. Disconnect the hard-drive cable from the system board [1].
   2. Lift the hard drive off the computer [2].
   
5. Remove the data-cable connector [1] and then slide out the two end brackets [2].
