Removing the Solid-State Drive (full-length)

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. battery
  3. Remove the screw that secures the solid-state drive to the system board.

  4. Remove the thermal pad from the SSD.
    NOTE The thermal pad is applicable only for a PCIe SSD card.
