Removing the palm-rest assembly

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. battery
    3. memory modules
    4. Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 4 in “Removing the hard drive
    5. wireless card
    6. speakers
    7. heat-sink
    8. fans
    9. display assembly
    10. power-adapter port
    11. system board
    12. keyboard
    After performing the steps in the prerequisites we are left with the palm-rest assembly.
